ansley+greg+9.3.11= married

This has got to be the happiest couple I've seen in a long time!  It's also been a long time coming!!  They've been together since we were sophomores in high school! **almost 9 years!!**  I had the most fun putting the wedding together!  We used fresh cut wood slabs and burlap overlays on the table to give the wedding a more natural feel.  Hydrangeas accented the bouquets and burlap leaves were used for the foliage in the boutonnieres.  Yellow, navy, linen and chartreuse colors were among the decor.  The bride's aunt make red velvet, chocolate, and vanilla cupcakes as a wedding present to the happy couple.  (and boy were they delish!)  Vividly Delicious Cakes made the Groom's cake into a football representing his alma mater United States Naval Academy where he played football!  I was thankful to have the help of my sister to set this wedding up!  I couldn't have done it without her!  To see more pictures, visit our facebook page!!

Butler::Sugar Wedding 8.27.11

My boss' daughter got engaged in December.  Love her like a little sister!  I was hoping she would ask me to do her flowers and she did!!!  I was honored to have the chance to be involved with her upcoming wedding.  Since I needed to run the store the week of the wedding, I couldn't do the reception flowers, but I was never too busy to make the bouquets and boutonnieres.  There were 6 bridesmaids bouquets and 6 groomsmen boutonnieres, along with a mother of the bride and groom mini bouquets, a father of the bride and groom boutonniere, 2 grandfathers boutonnieres, 3 grandmother mini bouquets, ushers and hostesses, and who could forget the Bride and Groom!!  All together it was a beautiful wedding filled with fun and elegance!  I couldn't be happier for the newlyweds!  Fortunately, I now get to work with the bride, so we can soak in her memories every day!!

Stock the Bar Party 8.13.11 ~ honoring Ansley & Greg, and Vicki & Skyler

Two of my dearest friends are brides-to-be (well Ansley got married this past weekend but that's for a different post) and I just HAD to throw them a party!!!!  Both couples received lots of presents and had lots of guests come to honor them!  I had drinks and desserts waiting for the guests when they arrived.  Desserts included Smore's pops, mini red velvet cupakes with fresh homemade cream cheese icing, puppy chow, pudding cookie bars, fruit, chips, and pretzel m&m bites.  People were refreshed with lots of beer, wine and my boyfriend's special cocktail, Linchberg Lemonade.  As favors, the girls received cocktail glasses with a yummy recipe tucked in the glass, and the boys walked away with a beer mug and a recipe that included a beer in it!  Overall, I think everyone had a great time mingling, playing corn hole, and watching the couples open gifts!

She does amazing newborn shots, engagement pictures, and now testing the water with weddings! She knows just how to get the right angle to make any scene gorgeous! I knew that when I started my business that I wanted her help in making a face for Leave it to Lindsey. Katie & Zach Prom 2011

My sweet sweet Katie from Formally Yours went to the Parkview Prom with her super cute boyfriend Zach, or Zachary, or Zacc-a-ree depending on the day! Well I didn't hesitate to tell her that I would do her flowers for her! She's a simple girl so she didn't want a big elaborate corsage. Her gorgeous dress, from Formally Yours of course, was black and white, so I used little spray roses to create the corsage and boutonniere. I know she had an amazing time at her senior prom and I am so happy for her for graduating!!! I hope Katie has the best experience at North Georgia and doesn't forget about me!!!!

Gathercoal::Moore Wedding 4.22.11

WOW! What a sweet couple this was! Melissa Gathercoal was actually my customer at Formally Yours, and we got to talking about her wedding and she pretty much hired me right then and there! She loves color and wanted a very "wildflower" look. Her bridesmaids' colors were a mixture of greens, and she wanted a pop of purple and pinks. She hated the idea of sprays on the alter so I came up with the idea of stringing smalls buds of flowers to hang from the alter. Originally we had planned to hang votive candles but because she was getting married in the spring, the sun stays out so late that it wouldn't show up, so I found these amazing crystals to hang on the ends. She also wanted to scatter rose petals down the sides of the aisle, but no blanketing! Just a light scatter! (She also hated the idea of roses but it's so hard to get away from them in the flower business lol) I threw some in here and there but not noticeable. Melissa was able to hit the jackpot with mason jars! She had a friend of the family that let her borrow all of the ones we used. We hung them at the end of the rows at the ceremony with a mixture of flowers and then gathered different sizes together to create the centerpieces for the reception. Overall I believe she was very satisfied and her vision for her wedding was complete! I loved working with Melissa! Hopefully they will hire me again for her sister's wedding next year! ;)

Harris::Moore Wedding 4.16.11

First of all, BIG THANKS goes out to my girlfriend Ansley Rice for referring the bride to me! Look out in September for Ansley's wedding! So happy to be working for her!!

Gina Harris came to me originally for a wedding gown. Of course I found the dress of her dreams for her within 5 dresses! We began talking more about her wedding, and I mentioned that I do flowers. She jumped right on it! Her and her fiance had a day wedding at the Buckhead Club overlooking the city. She just needed a few touches for the ceremony so I had the pleasure of creating two large pedestal arrangements and the bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids. It was a black and white wedding with a touch of silver. On the bride's bouquet, I added small black beads to bring in the color. I wrapped the bouquets with black ribbon and added a slight touch of sparkle with crystal buttons. The bouquets were a mixture of white flowers including hydrangeas, roses and miniature gerber daisies. The cake also needed a little upgrade so Gina asked me to create a cake topper which consisted of the same flowers as the bouquets.

I just wanted to thank the bride for letting me be a part of her big day!
