I had the upmost pleasure to help host a baby shower for my cousin Tegan last Sunday October 3rd. My sisters, with the help of my neices and mom, and I hosted the cutest shower! Baby Aubrey is due at the end of November, so we didn't want to cut it too close to the due date so that Tegan could set up the baby's room with all the new goodies she would get from the shower. We made everything ourselves, from the clothes-line of onsies to the baby's name painted to match the decor to all the goodies of foods. We served fruit salad, key lime cheeseball with graham crackers and chocolate bread, tuxedo brownies, mini strawberry cupcakes with cream cheese icing, black-eyed pea salsa with tortilla chips, cool veggie pizza, homemade chicken salad with croissants, cheese ring with crackers, cheese squares, cucumber sandwiches, and for drinks, we had pineapple-orange punch and pink lemonade.
I love throwing parties and showers. I had to test myself by making my first diaper cake, and I think I succeeded very well!! I can make it go with any decor, whether its a girl or a boy. I also put together the flower arrangements with the help of my mom! If you can look close to the vases, there are little pacifiers! I couldn't resist adding little touches to everything!! I had two little arrangements that were given away to the guests that won the scratch-off game we played! Overall, I think it was a very successful shower! Lots of guests with lots of presents! The mommy-to-be and future baby are truly blessed!
